What are the names of some Fabrics that can be used in making toys for babies & toddlers?

I'm looking to source fabrics for toy making, the types of fabrics that are the same or similar as those used in commercial baby toys - that are tough and bright and colourful, some that are wipeable etc. Can anyone help with the names of fabrics I could use that are great quality and safe for bubbies?

Cotton, flannel, fleece, batiste and velour are favorites for babies since they're durable, colorfast, washable and safe. This site is dedicated to kid friendly fabrics

http://www.sewbaby.com/fabrics.html and has beautiful printed fabrics.

Reply:Please, you do NOT want to dye any fabrics that are being made into babies toys. Everything goes into their mouths. You don't want to be responsible for poisoning them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick to washable fabrics such as terrycloth. Also soft 100% cotton and flannels are good.
Reply:Cotton is always a great fabric around babies. It can be dyed any color and and be tossed in the washer to clean, depending on what the toy is stuffed with. Keeping toys clean are always a concern for moms.
