This came to my mind because we'll likely have more public recognition of the space program with maybe a mission to Mars and other stuff.





There are some recently-adopted names like Phoenix, Dakota, etc that correspond to places, and with more attention directed to the sky this trend could continue to the planets.
Reply:I think that the names will get even crazier. New fruits will be used rather than Apples and Peaches. Veges might make an appearance and Carrot Carlton will be the boy next door.





No one has thought of using numbers for names such as Eighty-Eight. Sounds like ADHD to me but that won't put some people off. The name is unique, right?

Reply:For girls, continuing with the trend of giving boys' names to girls... Matthew, Peter, James, Ronald, Charles, etcetera.





For boys, there will only be one name now acceptable, for the sheer manliness associated with plumbers and six packs... JOE.
Reply:Considering name popularity goes through cycles of about 100 years, look at the names that were popular baby names in 1929 to get an idea.
Reply:"Bristol" will be big for girls (due to the phenomenally popular President).





Also, for some odd reason, Mabel and Buford will make huge comebacks.
