How do filipinos find the names for their babies?

i mean the names are pretty ..


like ramiele, neolani, etc.. it's just unheardof for me


are they spanish names? or tagalog?

How do filipinos find the names for their babies?
Yes, they could be Spanish. You must understand that Filipinos are of mixed races, Spanish, American, Japanese and Chinese. As one, the names turned out to be the combination of all those.





also, filipinos tend to play with names, putting two and two together, like their fave actor, author or character or from names of family members. Like me, my name is a combination of my mother and father's names.





The result is something good and unique.

Reply:I'm Hispanic and I can tell you that those names sound Spanish, although I have never heard of them before. Actually there are plenty of good names in Spanish that are not just that common as the typical names such as Maria, Ana, etc.
