Babies Names have become so Strange?

I'm not here to offend anyone, but to simple say my view. Many of my friends have had babies. And the names they have chosen completely blows my mind. I find the new trend of names has become so...different. Nothing I've heard before, and honestly, hate. I'm just curious where how sudden names have completely changed? Like names from Jessica, Jason and Ryan have gone to names like Cohen, Rain and Apple. It's just such a twist.





Where did it come from?





And what is your favourite unusual name?

It's probably because they are copying celebrities, who are partially responsible for starting this trend...
Reply:My 8 week old son's name is Destry. We almost named him Kraven or Winston (although winston isn't that far out there.. My friend's are naming their little boy giddian (spelling?) from the bible. If we have a girl, were naming her madiline like the cartoon =)

I like Jaxon, Nora, Lucia, Kalea, Lucas, Kiana, Isolde and Kamea. They aren't that crazy :)

They don't want their kid to have the same name as 1,000 other people.
Reply:i hate traditional names.they are boring and over played.i prefer new, odd names.
