There are some recently-adopted names like Phoenix, Dakota, etc that correspond to places, and with more attention directed to the sky this trend could continue to the planets.

I think its such a personal thing that you'll never pick names that everyone likes. I think as long as you like the name and its not something thats going to get the child picked on then thats the most important thing?

I wouldnt want to name my child the same name of a friend or their child, as it has always bugged me when I knew someone with the same name as me. Plus like you said, it has to be name the child wouldnt get picked on about as a child or teenager.
Reply:Well, I don't usually care at all. My husband and I picked them for a reason, the names aren't ones that will get them picked on and I like them. The only issue I have is when the mother-in-law constantly criticises them, and then the husband starts to doubt it. That, is flipping annoying.

I set out intending to avoid overdone names, but ended up with Isabella and Holly, both high up on the top names list of the last few years. Honestly, they suit my girls and I like them. i don't usually care at all exept once when i asked peoples opinions on a baby girls name and no one liked it, the only reason i liked it was because it was one of my friends names so obviously when i think of the name i think of a nice person so it's a 2 (:
