What do you think of these baby names?

I love names that are unique, that you don't hear too often. When it comes down to having a baby girl or boy here are the names I've chosen (what do you think?):

Girls:

1. Jasmine

2. Jordyn

3. Kayla

4. Saeda-Jasmine (Sah-eeda - Yaz-meen)

5. Azhya (like Asia the country)

Boys:

1. David (after the dad)

what are some unique names for boys?

What do you think of these baby names?
Jasmine-I love it

Jordyn-Could possibly work

Kayla-No

Saeda-Cute

Azhya-No

David-It's nice

I want to name my baby girls one day Audriana Jessica and Mikayla Jessica if that helps any. :)
Reply:I like the 4th name you have picked out for a girl. How about Declan for a boy, you don't hear it too often.

Good luck and congrats!
Reply:I've never heard of an Asian country called Azhya. Anyway Jenson is a good name for a boy.
Reply:Jasmine- cute (you can call her princess Jasmine like the one from aladdin)

Jordyn- so cute

Kayla- too common

Saeda-Jasmin- dont like

David- cute

Other unique boy names:

Cru (crew)

Finn

Olliver

Liam

Owen
Reply:I really like the names Jordyn and Kayla for a girl. Jasmine is to princess-y for me. Also, for the last two, it's really annoying to have to go through life with people constantly mispronouncing your name and forcing you to explain it to them, so you may want to stick to names that are easier to pronounce. David is a nice name for a boy. If you want some unique boy names, go to babynamesworld.com. It's a really informative website.

*A note for Y!Answers users:

She means that Azhya is pronunced AY-zhuh, like the continent.
Reply:Okay, just so you know, some of the most annoying "Let's make this name EWENEEK!" strategies today consist of taking a common-ish name (Jordan, for example) and replacing "I" or "A" with Y. It's so overdone it's trite in the extreme.

Same goes for punctuation within a kid's name, i.e. "Saeda-Jasmine", or "J'Kayden." Also same goes for taking a semi-ordinary name and giving it a evah-so-trendeigh yonique spelling like "Azhya." And everyone and her sister is named Kayla/Kaylee/Kylie/Kyleigh/Caylah/whatev... this generation.

Want some odd and unique but not too weird names for girls:

Idony (Scandinavian goddess of the spring. Very common in medieval Europe, nearly unheard of now.)

Petra (the feminine form of Peter.)

Liatris (a rare and exotic flower)

Carissa (Australian, meaning strong and pure)

Camilla (Greek, meaning priestess)

Cassandra (Greek, meaning prophetess)

Persis (Persian, meaning "woman of Persia")

Una (Latin, "the only one")

Undine (Latin, "water spirit")

Zillah (unisex, Hebrew, "shadow")

Salome (Hebrew, "peace")

Ellery (unisex, Latin, meaning "cheerful")

Anais or Alais (French, "graceful")

Aoi (Japanese, "blue")

Akira (unisex, Japanese, "intelligent")

Anina (Aramaic, "graceful")

Kitra (Aramaic, "crown")

Talitha (Aramaic, "gazelle")
Reply:Your names are pretty good here are some names I would recommend.

Reply:I really like Azhya. Sounds nice and spelt good too. I like Jordyn too.

I think it's really good naming the baby after his dad and David is a nice name. Lots behind it.
Reply:Yakob (Jacob with a Y)

Thaniel (Form of Nathaniel)

Ezra (I just adore that name)

Calev (Form of Caleb)

Kaileb (Another form of Caleb pronounced Kai-Leb)
Reply:the only two that are unique are the last two girls names.

the rest are fairly common.

and i don't care for any of them. (especially the spelling of the last two, ew)

as for unique boy names.. joaquin, damien..
Reply:I like David, but none of the rest. If you don't want names you hear a lot, stay away from Jasmine, Jordyn, and Kayla. I'm a teacher and hear these names a lot. I have two Jasmine's this year (though one spells it Jazzmine).
Reply:The last two girl names are very unique. I would go for one of those.

As for boy names I only have one: Jasper
Reply:ok for a boy david is ok

but for a girl none of them
Reply:Some unique boy names would be:

Jayden

Jonah

Conan

Dawson

I love the name Jasmine or Saeda...I'm just not sure if I like them together. Maybe as a first name and middle name, just not together (like Mary-Kate).
Reply:Jasmine is nice.

Kayla: are you pronouncing it like KAY-la? People will usually read it and say it as KAY-la. I prefer Kyla with clearly the KYE-la pronunciation.

Azhya: I like the sound (like Asia the CONTINENT). She won't have to tell everyone how to spell it if it is spelled simply as Asia which looks fine to me.
