When did Americans become with the idea of naming their babies with two names?

Used to hear how Americans loved to named their babies by one name only. After seeing long, strange names, I think it will not be funny anymore鈥s this something new within the culture...

When did Americans become with the idea of naming their babies with two names?
Probably about the same time most of Europe thought it was a fun tradition. And you know us Americans....anything to keep up with fashionable society.
Reply:I was born and raised in Europe and in my native country, everyone has a middle name but that middle name isn't anything like the middle names here in the U.S. Instead, every person's middle name is a derivative of his/her father's first (proper) name and, in essence, everyone's middle name means "daughter of.." or "son of...".
Reply:It is the first and middle names, which people have always had, its just now some people call their children by both.
Reply:I've noticed a lot of people giving their children two middle names lately
Reply:Middle names are nothing new and they're certainly not just an American tradition.

What do you think about these names for babies?

I am Irish and my soon to be husband is mexican. We are planning on having at least a boy and a girl and want to throw a little ethnicity into some of the names

Girls:

Lana Michelle

Penelope (no middle name because no one in his family has middle names)

Boys:

Ryan Bradley

Valentino (again no middle name)

What do you think about these names for babies?
I love all of the names except Valentino. Sorry, but I am not crazy about that one.
Reply:Lana isn't my favourite name, I like Lara, Lena, or Leda better. The rest are very nice, especially in comparison with lot of other baby names these days.
Reply:i like the last name in the boy and the girl
Reply:Being Latina my first advice is to make sure you choose a name that even those family members that don't speak English (at all or somewhat) can pronounce.

Lana is great...Michelle is too Americanized

Ryan is great but probably not a good choice..

Valentino is different and could work
Reply:I like Lana Michelle and Ryan Bradley
Reply:I'm not so sure about Valentino, he would get teased at school were I live, but if you live somwhere more Mexican maybe it fits in better.
Reply:i like penelope for gurl

and ryan for the boy
Reply:luv ryan bradley and lana michelle

don't like valentino, penelope is ok
Reply:Valentino, is a really nice name for a male, I think.

Michelle is really common so I would more so go with Lana.

Penelope reminds me to much of Popeye. =)
Reply:hmmm, i like ryan bradley, it sounds super cute.
Reply:Lana Michelle is adorable. Ryan Bradley is also cute.
Reply:not too crazy about Penelope and Valentino. They're not as bad as some others, but not good names, either.
Reply:I adore Penelope. That's one of my favorite girls' names.
Reply:cute names
Reply:i dont think ryan bradley sounds very ethnic, but i like it

Speaking of crazy baby names.....Have you heard about the babies taken out of their homes by the government ?

because of their names?

The 3yo is Adolf Hitler and his two baby sisters also have nazi names. This is horrible. Even for wacked out parents, you would think they wouldnt want their children growing up with that stigma which would really have hurt them in many ways. And this is America, not Germany.

Speaking of crazy baby names.....Have you heard about the babies taken out of their homes by the government ?
I have heard of the child named adolf hitler. How horrible that parents think this is okay that AMERICAN parents think this is okay. We should give our children names that give them strength, intergrity,%26amp; self esteem. not horrid names as such.

Geez some people shouldn't be parents!!!
Reply:I don't think taking the child from his parents is the right thing to do in that case.

In Quebec, Canada, we have a law that allows the government to reject an inappropriate name when a child is registered with the province. Usually the government doesn't have to apply the law, but in certain cases it is necessary. For example, some parents wanted to call their child "Spatule" (french for Spatula), "Spiderman".. or even "Clitoris"!

I think the governement should have the right to reject a name but taking the child from his parents for a matter of name is a little bit extreme.
Reply:In the US there are no "name police" so people can essentially name a child whatever they want (that's why this little boy could be named Adolph Hitler and his little sister AryanNation). Social Services has publicly said that children would never be removed from their homes based on what their parents had named them. Obviously they were in an environment not conducive to a healthy childhood and that is why they were removed, not because of their names.
Reply:Those particular children could have been named Johnnie, Susie and Annie, and they still would have been raised by parents who are trash, but their names certainly made things worse.
Reply:It seems that everyone missed the scariest part of all. That they are still caucasians out there that think continue to have so much hatred for people of color that they still idiolize a man who once attempted ethnic cleansing.

However, your comment on this is America... which means that because we live in the United States we have that freedom.

*side note: America is a continent which includes Canada and Mexico. It is not a country.
Reply:Umm yeah id you catch what one of the daughters middle name is? Her middle name is "Aryan Nation". Wow I think people that name their kids whacked out names are terrible. I am pregnant right now and I am going to have normal names.. Kayleigh or Kyle..plain, simple and normal names... Sheesh... Adolf Hitler...Poor kid.
Reply:To me, this is a type of abuse because the parents probably think it's funny that they named their baby this, and feeding off the attention. Hopefully the government will put the baby in foster care with an immediate changed name.
Reply:I don't think a child's name is reason to take them out of their home. Do you know the emotional damage that will come from being ripped away from your parents at 3 years old? Unless a child is being abused, there is no reason to take them out of the home
Reply:Wow thats weird who would want to name their children Nazi names. They are totally crazy, and i really feel for the children...can't imagine what it's like to live in a foster care or being adopted over your name. Did they change the children names???
Reply:The kids were not removed because of their names. These parents aren't good parents and the kids were taken for a reason. I hope they don't go back to the parents ever.
Reply:They wouldn't have been removed because of their names or their parents' beliefs. The government does not have the right to do that.

There would have had to be a reason social services found the home environment unsafe.

By the way, "this is America, not Germany", how ignorant can you be?
Reply:When i first read this article it made me sick. The father says he done it cos the names would be so unique and no one else in the world would name their kids the same names. Some people don't deserve kids at all
Reply:I don't know if that was the reason, but if so, then I'm not against it. Nazis will raise Nazis and children need to be protected from such things.
Reply:isnt it the parents choice to name their kids wut they want? God damn government trying to but into everything.
Reply:They were not removed because of their names.
Reply:Yeah that is nuts. They should change the names, that's for sure.

♥ Taylor
Reply:%26gt;%26gt;I didn't hear about them be removed from the home. But their names are frigged up, yes.
Reply:BS.

Our government won't remove the child from the home just because of the name.

There has to be another reason.
Reply:I would honestly name my child marmalade if it was socially acceptable
Reply:that is so terrible! %26gt;:-0
Reply:If i name my child Jesus Christ will the government take my child, too ?
Reply:you guys are nazi racists.

Reply:Some friends I've known name their babies right after some popular person so that they can be easily distinguish and more likely sounds good enough to hear but now people now a days giving their babies a name that is too difficult to write spell and pronounced which they think that is good for them but will having a hard time for their babies when they grow up.sometimes its good to give your babies a nice name so in the long run that name can establish a good reputation and gives you the honor to be proud to your son or daughter

My first daughter will be named Claire Marie. Claire means bright, clear (kinda weird, but I like the name). Marie means bitter which kinda sucks but I also love this name. Who knows maybe I'll change my mind later.

For a girl I also like Evangeline. It means like an angel.

Whats your opinion on people having a trend on calling there babies quite odd names now?

I am all up for uniqueness but I'm sorry when you hear on the tv and stuff about celebs naming their babies the most ridiculous names. I see it happening a lot often now as if its a trend. Just I would rather have a normal name and not being named after a mythical creature or after a fruit.

Whats your opinion on people having a trend on calling there babies quite odd names now?
I tend to like different names but not down right stupid. My friend's hubby is a nurse %26amp; he works in the pediatric unit, you wouldn't believe the names some people come up with. Scenic Sunday was born a couple days ago, talk about ridiculous.
Reply:I prefer traditional names. Names that stand the test of time.

You can always tell what generation a person is from by their name. I went to school with lots of Mindys, Lindas, Loris (spelled many different ways) and Susans and my kids know scores of Alyssas, Ashleys and Kaitlyns (their moms tend to be around the same age as I am). Right now we seem to be encountering a lot of little Madisons and Jaysons.

Both of my daughters have traditional names which can be cut down into a nickname or used in full when they achieve whatever level of success they attain. Their names will look good no matter where they are posted.
Reply:lol well yeah same. like bronx mowgli is taking it a bit too far. but i love unique names. like juliette and cheyenne for girls and nolan and tristan for boys. super unique but not to a level where it is no longer cute. come on, next up it's gunna be Grape or Lettuce. apple was just silly but i actuali think its kinda cute now. i love names like shiloh, harlow, zahara, pax, and violet, and suri but alotta celeb babies have names tht are just too crazy.
Reply:What I can't stand is the normal name spelled all wrong. Like Michelle spelled Mishele, or Christina spelled Krysteena. It is annoying as all hell, looks stupid, and will definitely not help landing a job in this tough economy. I think it's selfish on the parent's part to only think of "I'm so brilliant I can think of a name no one else has!" and not consider the ramifications for their child.
Reply:i dont really think that it is anybody elses business.

i see everyone commenting on unique names yet i see nobody commenting on names like "wong tein" or "gusperjulatr"...you know, culteral names.

i personally think that traditional names suck.

names like "abby, heather, troy, mike, dan, katherine" etc.
Reply:I've been recently thinking the same thing. I think it started from Angelina Jolie kids! I think its just popular because some celebrity started it and the rest followed as well as average people. But hey at least pregnant teens will name their kids normal names because Jamie Lynn named her baby Maddie so the teen mom generation will have normal named kids.
Reply:NO JOKE!! When I was 16 I worked this camp.... this women was pregnant with triplets. She was going to name them.....April, May and June if they were girls, and Huey, Dwey, and Louie for the boys. SHE HAD THE GIRLS!!! Her other kids names, Mick and Bianca, Sonny and Cher! I AM TOTALLY SERIOUS!!!! I took care of Sonny and Cher! I think the whole idea of being different is great.........BUT there are limits. I grew up with a VERY popular name, and I tried to give my kids different names at the time.....Jack, Emma and Brooke.... you see how far that went :)
Reply:I understand wanting them to be unique...but there are definitely limits to "unique". My son has an uncommon name, but it's a real name, not something I pulled out of the sky or that he will have to answer to a la Apple, Bronx, Zuma Nesta Rock....
Reply:And don't forget going with a "top ten" name!

All of the "en" names are insanely popular--Jaden, Brayden, Aiden, Kaden....

Yick.

And I am sorry...but "Bronx Mowgli"?

Poor child is doomed...
Reply:im female and my name is joaquin ( wahkeen)

my children have different names but not out of this world. they just not common names.
Reply:I agree with you.....i for one wont name my child something that people will have no idea how to say or spell.

Why do people insist on having unique names for babies?

Why would someone name their child Pheonix or Trixibelle, or after a state in the US? Its like naming your child Worcestershire or Birmingham.

Why do people insist on having unique names for babies?
well some people like thier kids to have unique names
Reply:The only state name I like is Indiana.....There are some good unique names.
Reply:To try to be different and not go along with the crowd and pick the common name.
Reply:I wanted to name my baby girl Scarlett Rain but I never did due to the fact that my husband hated the name. I think some unique names are nice. It makes a person feel happy to be the only one with that name and they can make it all their own.
Reply:Phoenix and Trixibelle are awesome names, I would much rather be called one of those than Sharon or Tracey [no offence]. I think they sound fun and glamorous. I've actually noticed a lot of kids with UK place names like London, Chester and Preston. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think they're great. It's all just down to personal taste. :-)
Reply:Because they don't want to be Jennifer number 4 in a class. I teach and I see so many kids with all the same names and they end up with unique nicknames, being called by thier last names, or being Emily K or something... I love that my name isn't the same as everyone elses.
Reply:My daughter is Daisy Georgia! I'm british and enjoyed a great holiday in the States and fell in love with this state; hence the name. We nearly called her Savannah Georgia, but didn't think it was fair to give her an address as a name!

There's a place near me called Kimberley, in Nottinghamshire, and so why couldn't I call a kid Kimberley Notts?

But these are just words, and don't forget that many place names come from peoples names. So, which is the right way around?
Reply:It's desire to be noticed...some parents are so carried away by celebrity status that the closest they can get is to give thier kids ridiculous names.By the way I am from Birmingham and would never dream of calling my child Brummie..The accent is hard enough to live with!!
Reply:So that they will be remembered..
Reply:theres nothing wrong with unusual. but i do think people who give their kids totally made up names are just cursing them to a childhood of ridicule. i wish people would think about what they are doing before calling their poor child something like Merlot (i actually heard a mother call her son that in a supermarket one day, i thought i had missheard til she said it again! lets hope he doesnt grow up to be an alcaholic.) i really believe a name should have a meaning, a name is for life not just for christmas.

having said that some names that are meant to be something else like a state of a country can be nice. i like the name India for a girl. and i have a friend called Valentine, it really suits him, of course he is called Val most of the time.
Reply:They're messed up mentally, and want their kids to be tortured, teased and harassed all of their lives? They think it's cool? They have no inkling of what it will to the poor kid growing up? My friends wacko daughter named her little boy a normal name, but named her ugly daughter a boys name....now the poor kid will be teased doubly....All I can say is that I feel for these poor children.
Reply:I hope my children, Dakota, Utah and Alabama don't read this. They'll be mortified.
Reply:I for one believe there are way to many John Smith's and Erica Johnson's. Everyone wants to think their child is the greatest thing since slice toast and thus we try to find an extraordinary name.
Reply:I'm calling my next child Grimsby.
Reply:I think it's sad, really - imagine thinking that your child will only be unique if you give them a bizarre name :(
Reply:I think some parents grew up as one of three Jennifers or four Davids or what have you. They want their kids to stand out.

Others had family names that they felt were uncool, and what their kids to have something that sounds current.

But I agree it can be taken too far. It's one thing to choose a name that is familiar, but underused, and another thing to make up an eye-ball straining mess of a name and then tell us all that it means "beautiful princess."

So, by all means, revive great old names like India, Anneliese, Evangline, Sarai or Gideon and Silas. And I rather like some of the more adventurous names that are familiar words, just not traditionally used as names - Avalon, Journey, Vrai. But I could do without the Savannahs, Kaelees, Traytons, Caidenns and Kylins.
Reply:Because unique name=unique child.

People don't understand that a kids name has little to nothing to do with how they turn out in life, with the exception that they might not ever get an interview for a good job with a jacked up name.

My favorite "location name" is Brooklyn. Clearly, none of the people naming their child this have ever actually set foot in Brooklyn. I always suggest Bronx or Staten Island as an alternative, and I get many thumbs down for it!
Reply:some ppl want there kids 2 be unique coc face hahahahhaha

Reply:Because parents with 3 braincells (and that's being generous) like the Beckhams think it's cool to name your kid after where they were conceived (Brooklyn) or something unique which will make them stand out (not in a good way) at school.
Reply:I've been wondering this for a long time.

What's wrong with Tom, Dick or Harry?!?

These parents bless their kids with names like Shaniqua, Liquequa or something that sounds like a tropical fruit. Instead of investing the time to tell their kids that its their action that will make them special and not a name that parents want to flaunt at parties.

Its like people driving expensive cars that puts them close to bankruptcy.
Reply:What's wrong with thinking outside the box?

Isn't that what makes us individuals?

If we were all named Tom, Harry, John or Betty, Mary or Sue then where would the distinction be?
Reply:i feel sorry for the poor kids
Reply:yeh some 'unique' names are ok. i really like Harlow and Diego (for a boy) but stuff like Apple and Princess is just too far. celebs rkn naming their kids is such a competition; they have to beat the others by picking a weirder name. its crazy but thats Hollywood for you!
Reply:Because they want their kids to have a different name. Its not like Jessica or anything. I dont know for some people unique is appealing. Although I agree some of the newer "unique" names are comical.
Reply:Just to be different I guess.
Reply:Cos they think they're babies better and different to all the others when in fact it's just going to grow up the same as everyone elses.
Reply:I suppose you would like everybody to name their children your favourite names? What are they? Sharon and John?
Reply:yet who knows a young toddler or baby called rupert or edwina
Reply:hey---my name is summer salt watson
Reply:Some might think that it's cool to have their kids named uniquely because usually the names will have the kids stand out from the crowd because of that.

It's so call the 'trend' right now.

I have a friend who name herself a fruit like mango, or even jewellerie.

Well, different people have different thoughts.

Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie babies names?

Which one do you like more

Honor Marie - Jessica

Harlow Winter - Nicole I like both but I like Honor Marie better. It just flows.

Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie babies names?
I actually, like them both!!!!

Honor Marie is adorable. . .

Harlow Winter Kate is actually her whole name and it is very classy. . .She is named after the actress Jean Harlow. Winter, I am guessing is because she was born in the winter and Kate is her faternal grandmother's name. . .Not found of Kate but, I still like it!!
Reply:harlow winter kate: harlow sounds like harlem, winter is a season, not a name. kate is the only normal part.

honor is a value, not a name. marie is normal.

combine both the normal parts, and you get a name thats actually cute...kate marie or marie kate
Reply:I have never liked the name Honor, or the nickname Honey. Harlow is okay, but Winter is gorgeous! I love that name!
Reply:I like Harlow Winter better.

Honor Marie bothers me because Honor sounds like "on her". She will be teased. :(

Reply:I honestly like Honor Marie better. It's unique, but not too wild. I'm not a fan of Harlow Winter.
Reply:Harlow Winter Kate is adorable.
Reply:I like Harlow and Marie, but not a fan or Honor or Winter, so I don't really like either.
Reply:i think Nicole baby's name is Harlow Winter Kate.

but i like Honor Marie better they're both unique though.
Reply:I think Harlow Winter is the better name, but Honor Marie flows better.

*Sigh* I just don't get celebrities....
Reply:I like Harlow Winter better. I just really dislike the name Honor.
Reply:I prefer Harlow!
Reply:I like Honor Marie, it's such a pretty and unique name .

Harlow sounds like a posh person saying hello lol
Reply:I love Honor it just speaks to my soul but Harlow is really cute

What do you think of last names being used as first names for babies?

It was done on "Sisters" for Alex's daughter and granddaughter. I don't like Reed maiden name though. Now, it's on "The Young and the Restless" with the babies of Nick %26amp; Phiyllis and Lauren %26amp; Michael.

I like it. I don't know anyone whose first name is his or her mother's maiden. I would rather have my mother's maiden name as my middle name as oppose to the one I've got.

What do you think of last names being used as first names for babies?
I think it's cute, if the name sounds right. I'm marrying into a really French family, and we've already decided to use the great-grandmother's last name, "Veilleux" (vay-oo) as our first daughter's name. If it works, it works. If not, name them that anyway and find a cute nickname ;)
Reply:I think it depends on the name. I know a few male adults who have their mother's maiden name as their first name. One changed his name legally. The other just switched his names when introducing himself (his first name was Shepherd--imagine going through school with that). I don't think it works well for women though.
Reply:I wouldn't care for it unless it was a really great name. If you want to honor someone by using their last name, then use it for the child's middle name.
Reply:It depends on their last name.
Reply:I think it's great if you have a maiden name that will work. In the south, the tradition is to use the mom's maiden name as a middle name if the name is not suitable for a first name.

I had a cousin whose first name was Colquitt which was her mother's maiden name. The name was difficult to pronounce for some of the kids, but unique.

What do you think about these names for babies?

I love the names Madilynn and Brenan.

I would love to spell Madilynn with two ns because my mom'smiddle name is Lynn.

Can anybody give me cute middle names that would go with it.

My middle name is Marie and My fiance's is Dale.

I thought of Madilynn Marie and Brenan Dale but Im thinking i might want them to have two middle names...can someone help me out.

thanks for the suggestions

What do you think about these names for babies?

Here are some middle names for Madilynn:

Madilynn Rose

Madilynn Kate

Madilynn Grace

Madilynn Joy

Madilynn Hope

Madilynn Faith

If you use Marie as well as another middle name I like:

Madilynn Rose Marie

For Brenan Dale:

One middle name:

Brenan Scott

Brenan Tyler

Two middle names:

Brenan Hunter Dale

Brenan Dale Jacob

Brenan Tyler Dale
Reply:In biblical days children were named by the events that surrounded them at the birth. Much like Native Americans are known for doing in the past. For example, Jacob, son of Isaac, was named Jacob because when he was born he had a hold of his twin brothers heel. He actually came out holding onto his heel. Jacob is translated in two different ways. One way means "by the heel of" and the other means "deceiver". Jacob actually lived up to both meanings, but the point is that some people like to name their children after something stupid, but it makes more sense to have significance in their names.

Naming children after family also holds significance. If you want to name your child in some way, as you stated, after your mothers name then I believe that holds significance as well. If you dig into your families heritage you might find someone very significant to name your child after as well. Ask your older family members about some of their aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. and you might find the perfect theme for your child's existence.

My sister in law's name is Pretzel Jean. She OF COURSE goes by Jean. Apparently the story goes that her fathber was at the bar when she was born and said he was going to name the baby Pretzel, because that's what he was eating when she was born.

I used to work for a guy who named their baby Henry. Not an odd name, but really outdated. Sounds like a name for an 80 year old guy, not a baby. I thought maybe it was a family name, but they named their cat Betsy, so I think they just liked old-fashioned sounding names.

Some weirdo in Zion, Illinois just legally changed his name to In God We Trust (first name is In God, last name is We Trust). Not a baby name, but as long as were are on the subject of weird names...
Reply:I don't know any kids personally with a bad or weird name. If you want to count mine and my brother's names; but those names are Spanish. They fit perfectly well when considered in that way, but sound unusual in English.

Mine--Jesus Andres (heh-soos ahn-dress)--in English means Jesus Andrew

Brother--Hector Saul (heck-ter sah-ool)--spelled the same in English. Names come from Prince Hector of Troy in the book the Iliad, and King Saul the first King of Israel.

Brother--Jaime Santiago (high-meh sahn-tee-ah-goe)--means Jamie James in English.

But the weirdest names I've ever heard were from a guest on the Jerry Springer show many years back. She had a 4 year old girl named Funyun; and had a baby boy on the way she was going to name Dorito.
Reply:I know this girl named Daniella Lela. It looks perfectly fine on paper (or screen, as the case may be) doesn't it? Say it out loud: dan-YELL-uh LELL-uh. I'm guessing her parents didn't check how it sounded first.

I also know a girl (well, woman I suppose) named Kelly Kelly, but that wasn't her fault; she married a man named Mr. Kelly. She uses her middle name, most of the time, to avoid the Kelly Kelly-ness, but her middle name is Ann. That makes her name Kelly Ann Kelly. Kind of like Johnson %26amp; Johnson, no?
Reply:I had a friend who named her baby Imagine IamDiamond (Imagine is her first name and I am a diamond is her middle) but they actually call her by the full name. It is awful and she constantly gets strange looks or snickers when people find out her name. Parents who name their children something like that don't understand that they are making their children a target of ridicule and torment
Reply:Holy hell. I could never have thought up a name that was worse than Imagine IamDiamond. JEEZ. That one tops my list now lol. Yeah even if you wanted to choose a crazy name for your baby you should always balance it with a more traditional name. Wow. That was bad.

Also.. this is not a real name (I hope)... but I remember once while I was shopping and I had one of my babies in the cart and she started throwing a fit over something and I said, "OH.. drama." And a woman passed me by and was like, "Ohdrama".. that's such a beautiful name".

I hope that lady never has a kid... lol.

What do you think of my cousin's babies' names?
I think they are really cute. Trevor is a good name. I don't like Summer as much as Trevor, but it is still a nice name.
Reply:Well, one of the best things about a seasonal name is that it'll never be dated by decades. Growing up I had a friend that was named Stormy. Amazing how she fit that name. One quarter of the year she will be "IN". IE Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. I like the name!
Reply:reminds me of Jamie Lynn Spears! just kidding. i dont think its bad, its a cute name. parents are always trying to come up with pretty names now a day. you dont see any baby being named Beth, its always Bella or August or some name that came from a word.

How do "fancy name" people feel about plain names for babies?

I do NOT want to start flames going, but I'm very curious.

I know how people who give their children ordinary names feel about unusual names -- they laugh. Sorry, but they do. They even trade stories of the funniest names. And there's a certain amount of snobbery involved, too, figuring that people who give their children strange names must themselves be not too smart or not too educated.

So, how do people who give their children unusual, made-up names look on those who give ordinary names? Do they just think we're stupid? Boring? Unimaginative? Can't think of anything else? Don't love our kids much?

As I said, I don't want flames. I've tried to be honest, though, and I would really like some honest answers. How do people who name their child Merlot feel about those who name their child Mary?

How do "fancy name" people feel about plain names for babies?
I am naming my daughter River, and also am fond of the name Coral for a girl. BUT for a boy I love the name James Michael (although we also liked Odin) and my second favorite name for a girl was Nicholle Angelle. As you can see, I like both traditional and non traditional names. I dont think badly on anyone who chooses a traditional name for their child. Each child is unique and their names are usually carefully chosen by loving parents, thus making each and every name special. The only thing I wish is that people who prefer more traditional names would not be so quick to judge on names that sound a bit different to them. Because, honestly when you look at it, the name River is not very different from the more traditional name Brooke. People are just accustomed to hearing one more than the other.
Reply:that's how it is.

Some people like unusual names, and they think people that name a regular name is boring, or the other way around.

People always gonna do different things and other people will talk about it................that's r world!!!
Reply:I don't really comment on what people name their children unless they ask. My name and my daughter's names are not common, but not strangely different. I mean, in my opinion, regardless of what your child's name is the other kids will only find something else to tease them about. And for people who think that they will have trouble finding good jobs as they get older, look at Condalezza Rice, I don't care for the name, but it's not mine, so I don't care. Some people just want their child to stand out in the crowd.
Reply:Giving a child a made up name is not doing the child any favours. With a normal name like Mary, they won't get teased at school as much about it. If they want to change their names to something more extraordinary in the future they can.

Parents only name their children with those weird made up names because they sound "cute" to them. Not to the child.
Reply:its an individual thing and i think we all name our children with names that we like ourselves. i mean our parents pick our names so if we have unusual names that is down to our parents not us... so i hope that people respect the fact as parents we have a right to choose our children's names, and it may not be to everyone taste... my name is fairly plain, and my children's names were in the middle, i am pregnant now and my partner is trying to get me to agree to some very unusual names. i personally don't like any of them, but then again his name is unusual so i don't know if that had anything to do with it... interesting question though
Reply:We give our children names we like and we think is meant for the child. I believe most of the parents try to think how the name would affect the kid`s life, but I`ve also heard many stories of a name, which the parents knew when they saw the baby. (My sister had many names in mind for nine months, but when the baby was there, non of them was no good, because the baby looked like "Mathilda".)

I don`t think anything of the parents by their child`s name, but maybe if I know why the name was given.

If the ordinary name just feels right, then fine...

But if you are scared of what others might think and just give an ordinary name, because you have to...Not good.

Styles change and "special" can become everyday thing. My name for example is rare in my age-group, but now there are many kids with this name. In Finland the old and traditional names have also become more and more popular - the same names that once just to be too old-fashioned.
Reply:I think it's a personal decision. My first child is Brantley. We love it. Our friends love it and it's perfect for him. I find very common names, just that too common for me, but I dont' care if others use them. On the other hand I find the extremes like naming your child Apple a bit ridiculous but then I dont' live in CA!
Reply:I think you should name you child the name your and your husband loves.

Yes, both need to love it

I like Elizabeth, Michaela, Hayley, Julia, Chandi, Shawnee, Sarah, Abrianna, Catherine, Catarina

I like many names. My husband was not as open as I am

I do not like made up names like Nevaeh or misspelled names

I just think that's dumb

There are more name out there, why do you need to make up a name or spelling

The worst spelling I saw was Justine spelled, Gestyn, I would never in my life would think that's Justine. Spelling the name wrong, does not make the name Unique

Chandi, is a unique name, that's not made up, or spell wrong

They are name Chanda, it's a different name.

I hope this helps

IF I do not like a name of a person, I do not tell them. I will say what an pretty name.
Reply:I personally don't have a true preference. There are just names I've liked since I was younger and some of those are a tad unusual and others are more mainstream and "ordinary." I want to name my son Kona Jace. It's unusual and people say he will be teased for it and probably THINK I'm uneducated. If they paid close attention, they'd see that I'm an intelligent person.

I've seen a room full of kids (this being about 31) where at least five girls were named Ashley. Another three were named Jessica. Three boys named Jordan. Or Chris. I don't like think a child should have to go by their initials throughout life. (Most middle names used are just as common as the first name. There could be three Ashley Marie's) I've also known cases where there were two girls in the school with the same exact name.

So, no. I don't feel that a person who names their child an ordinary name is unimaginative. Just a little too cautious. People assume that a child will be picked on because of their name. Whether they have an ordinary name or not, they will be picked on at one point or another. It's how kids are. It's how they learn to deal with pressure and drama. It's our jobs to guide them into positive outlets to deal with these things rather than negative where they build everything up then have a breakdown.
Reply:personally I feel that giving the name merlot to a child is child abuse! mary and other normal names are the only sane, loving way to go!

Boy and girl names?

What are popular names for babies in this generation?
Caden, Aiden and Jayden are very overused for boys these days. Jake is very popular. Emma, Madison, Mackenzie also Olivia, Sophia and Ava.

My new granddaughter is Eva. NOT pronounced Ava...pronounced with long E....my daughter gets cranky if anybody calls her Ava. Eva was my grandmothers name. The older names seem to be making a comeback. My daughters name is Leah. I don't hear that to often but my sons name is Josh and thats quite popular.

I have a feeling the name Miley is going to become quite popular because of the show Hanna Montana. A lot of people seem to be liking that name lately.

Can you help me with babies names?
those are some weird names your going out with two girls at the same time and their both prego and both women are still letting you name the baby JERK!!!
Reply:Honestly, I think you are asking for your kids to hate you with those names. Some out of the ordinary names are nice, but not most of those. Would you like to have the name Stoned in high school? Froogy? How do you even pronounce that? Children can be extremely cruel. Think of what name calling your children may have before deciding on a name.

Aleigh Paige - I don't like the first name. Make it Allie (Allison?) or Ashleigh, but not this weird mixture between the two. I love Paige, though.

Gabrielle Serenity - I really like this, but I agree with the people who prefer Gabriella.

Keegan Mykel - Keegan really does sound like a girl's name. Perhaps you could use Kieran instead? I don't like Mykel, it just looks like you can't spell. Use Michael.

Shane ?? - Shane is an okay name. Shane David, Shane Oliver, and Shane William are all good. How about Elliott Shane?

Delaney Elizabeth - I think Elizabeth Delaney is much better.

Kaedyn Wade - I don't like either of these names. If I were you, I'd come up with something else.

At the end of the day, though, it's completely up to you. I hope you choose the perfect names for your children.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

How long do you think it will take for people to start naming babies "screenname"-type names?

I know it may sound silly, but it's something to think about. Will roll-call at school consist of Dragonfire289 (*here*), xXbrokenheartXx (*here*), i%26lt;3u4evah69 (*here*), etc. in the not so distant future?

This is meant to be a fun question, so I'm looking for fun answers. :)

I'm surprised they haven't started already! There's all kinds of silly names going on!
Reply:Haha, this could be soon and I dread it! Just wait til these kids get to be adults and go get a job interview.

*Phone Call*

Boss: Hello, is this LeapinLeopard467?

LeapinLeopard467: Yes, BossLady4Eva.

BossLady4Eva: I'd like to have you come in for an interview. We need a replacement for Mommy2Be.

^^See? They'll obviously have to change their 'names' as life goes on.
Reply:I heard somwhere that a couple tried to name their baby "@". They were prvented by some legality, and not allowed to put it on the birth certificate.

I can just see the parents calling the child in for supper..."where you "at"?" ;)
Reply:hahahah, i agree so much.

my great grand kids will be called things like ...

Punk_Rock_Chick

Beautiful.Diaster

%26amp; Tara%26lt;3TRASHY

hahahaha!

Reply:I actually remember now hearing something about someone wanting to name their baby a screenname-type name. They weren't allowed to though because numbers aren't legal characters in a name.

Reply:Highly probable. However, I find it quite illogical.
Reply:October 2007 Mommy (here!)
Reply:I met some one named 8ton and there was a lady on here that wanted to name her son 4est
Reply:I think this is already happening. I met a child the other day with the name St8

Reply:I don't know, but most of these answers made me laugh my **** off.

When will the traditional names for babies come back in?

You do know there are trends in the names people give their babies and many are obviously from certain eras?

When will the traditional names for babies come back in?
You can name your baby whatever you wish. If you like traditional names then go with one. Don't get caught up in the trends.
Reply:I think traditional names are still "in". My husband and I named our daughter, Grace Olivia. Our son is Brady David.

We wanted a "normal" name for our kids but not incredibly common. I didn't want our kids to be one of 5 "Jennifer"s or "Aiden"s
Reply:I agree with you completly! Names like Rylee and Makayla are just awful. People think that in order to be unique they have to give their kid a weird name like Brooklyn, or Blaze or use a traditional name with an unusual spelling Errickah or Jeniphur, or make something up like Dillyanne (I know it's awful!) or as Anna Nicole did with Dannielynn. People fail to realize that these children all have to grow up one day and live with these weird names with weird spellings. Sheesh!
Reply:Never. Since we're more globally connected, I think people want their kids to be unique (that may even mean using a "traditional name") . My theory is look at the top 12 finalists in American Idol - Sanjaya, Lakisha, Blake, Melinda, Chris, Phil (uggh), forget the rest. Only a few "traditional" names in there. Now that we see the mix of cultures, and all the naming options, we wont go back.
Reply:Yes thats notable but you can name your child anything you want. I wouldn't name my child somethign that is popular during your time period. Name it the traditional name you want. Who cares about whats in and whats out
Reply:Hello, Be a rebel and start the ball rolling ! I miss the old traditional names. This "new age" trend is too far out for me !
Reply:I agree completely. Want traditional names not names based on soap opera characters or a whim.
Reply:i think there are a lot of the older names coming back now ie.daisy and jack what do you mean by traditional?
Reply:Yeah, and I have noticed just some wierd, pretentious names given to kids lately...on the t-ball field the other day, their was alittle boy named mckellar, I don't like it at all, it sounds so un-masculain and prissed, whatever happened to john?
Reply:This is largely a girl-naming issue. Boys haven't ever had the same level of problem.

There are so few things left to hold our society together. My last baby, almost 20 years ago, was named Margaret. We call her Maggie for personal reasons, but she could choose if she would from a dozen alternatives. Brittany and Ashley are not among them.
Reply:Not sure but I can't wait until they do!! I am due in 10 days and my husband and I have decided to go the traditional route in regards to naming our son, no need for all these stupid new versions - my pet hate now is all the old names being spelt incorrectly to make them new and 'cool'!
Reply:i have never liked those "traditional" names so i named my kids unique and meaningful names.
Reply:You mean like Olive, Dorothy, Margaret, Helen, Ruth, Mildred, Frances, Doris, Maria, Barbara, Shirley, Ethel, Clara, Nancy, Carol, Joyce, Jean, Sandra, Caroline, Donna, Judy, Deborah, Brenda, Cheryl, Kimberly, Beverly, Tammy, Lori, Julie, Jennifer, Tracy? Just speaking of girls names of course.

Hopefully never for some of them, because many of them are butt ugly!! Some are timeless like Elizabeth, Catherine etc, but Mildred and Olive? Ewww! Leave them back in the 20th century please!
Reply:Well, because of a long family tradition that we were completely unwilling to break, we have a Robert Darrell, named after his daddy and my daddy! I think it's a perfectly respectable name, and the initials R.D. before our last name could be just as professional as his name, if he chose to go that route. Why would people want their kids initials to be something like CAR, SHT, ODD, FUN is beyond me. I think it's just as important as not naming your child Raspberry Sherbert or something like that. And to think at one time I didn't like my name Elizabeth. What would I have thought if my parents had named me something like Sunnie Daie or something? Geez! You may think it's cute now to name your child off the wall names, but I think as they grow and realize what you did when naming them, they will be mad! I know I would be...
Reply:when parents relize the names are as the old ones, to many were made fun of or tend to follow kin or bible stories or even ball players now the cartoon names.
Reply:I love traditional names. I live in KY where the big trend for boys names are names like Hunter, Trucker, Gunner, Jackson, Storm, Tanner, etc. I did not fall into that trend. My 2 sons will have to live with there names long after that trend has been put out of it's misery, so I decided to give them traditional bible names, Daniel and Caleb. It's like this, some names are timeless but do you really want your child to be stuck with a trendy name. Look at what the hippies did to there children, Rainbow, sunshine, star, come one.
Reply:never.. those days are over. i had a friend who named their baby Memphis..
Reply:Traditional names ARE back in. The top popular names right now are Victorian names - you can't get more traditional than that!

If you mean traditional as in - "boring names" - then that's sad. Why do you want your kid to be in a class with 5 other "Ashleys" or something like that - so you kid has to be called: "Ashley H. or Ashley S." - LAMO!!!
Reply:"When will the traditional names for babies come back in?"

They haven't gone anywhere, its just the majority of people prefer new, uncommon or unique names now.

Its not the end of an era, i'm 17 and my name is Samantha May, that's a traditional name. I have siblings who's names are Kimberley (Kim for short), Lauren (Lou for short) and Jack and they are all younger than me.
Reply:Their called traditional names for a reason --- -- their timeless. Fads come and fads go.... I always use this rule of thumb.... Pick the name as you ,yourself would want to be called. Try it out ( on the streets so to speak and see what reaction you get).

Use common sense, It's ok to name your kid what you want but use proper spelling and pronunciation --- You only make it harder on the child and YOU the parent sound illiterate!
Reply:now-a-days anything goes! even traditional names.
Reply:They are always in. It's just some people like to give their child a more unique and different name and while others go completely overboard.
Reply:I think people just have to start naming kids traditional names. It "catches on" that way.
Reply:We named our two girls Jane Ann and Alice May. That's pretty traditional, isn't it? Perhaps we've started something. I can't stand all these names that I can't say or spell. People always ask me how to spell Jane and when I say J A N E, they say..."oh, how nice that it isn't some weird spelling!".
Reply:They ARE back in, for those of us who have the nerve to go against the made-up, half-my-name-half-his-name, trendy names tide and stick to names people know how to spell and pronounce.

They'll REALLY be back in if more of us think about what we're saddling our poor babies with and choose names that they can wear proudly for decades...

I think "Traditional" is ALWAYS in fashion...
Reply:Daniel is right!

We gave our kids traditional names. I'm not so trendy that I'm going to name my kids Apple or Buzz Lightyear, come on!

Just imagine your sons pediatrican...is his name some bizarre name? What about your favorite college professor? Think of the names of world leaders, scientists and great inventers. Any Neptune Jr.'s or a Banjo in that mix?

Intelligent people do not make thier kids go through life with bizarre names, you want you kid to have the best shot in life. Naming them strange names is just a way to inflate your own ego, and having kids should get that ego in check for sure.
Reply:They are

Some people name their children Traditional name

Here are some in the top 50 in 2006

Girls

Emma, Ava, Emily, Isabella, Sophia, Olivia, Abigail, Hannah, Sarah, Madeline, Lauren, Grace, Samanath, Anna, Elizabeth, Julia, Megan, Katherine, Allison

Boys

Aiden, Jacob, Ethan, Matthew, Noah, Nicholas, Joshua, Andrew, Michael, Caleb, Alexander, Nathan, Benjamin, William, James, Daniel, Joseph, Christopher, Anthony, John, David, Samuel

Some people will always name their children traditional. Some people will go with trendy names. Some people will name their children odd or unique or make up name

Neaveh, heaven spelled backward, was in the top 100 in 2006.
Reply:Traditional names will come back when people start using them again. So many parents are giving their children such off the wall names that it actually works against them when going for a job.
Reply:Enjoy the fact that they aren't so popular! I can rest assured that my girls won't be in school with 5 other Ann's and Mary's. They have beautiful, classic names, are named after their wonderful aunt's (who weren't named after my great-aunts) and they won't spend their lives spelling out their names for people.
Reply:Go Gertrude.

Go Hilga %26amp; Inga.

Go Rupert.
Reply:'Traditional' Names, can still be odd.

My name is Daphne, which is a traditional, but uncommon name.

My sister is Eva [pronounced Ava, European spelling]

My cousins are..

Fiona

Anastasia

Theresa

Charlotte

all traditional but still un common names.

Dont worry, traditional names are still out there.

Why do people give their babies comman names?

why would you want your kid to have a name that a million other people have? why not be original?

Why do people give their babies comman names?
define original

creating a name by combining 2 different names

Mike and Suzy would be Mizy?

Misspelling a name so that the person will ALWAYS have to spell it for others

Michelle becomes Meeshyle

Or spelling a common word backwards

Heaven = Nevaeh

Or maybe just using some random noun

Apple, Pilot

Or maybe you want to have K-8?

----------

Truthfully, your child will not be a child for their whole life - Names need to be able to grow with the child. Why put a name like "Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii" on a child?

----------

UPDATE:

I just think it awful for parents to name their kids something crazy, just so the parents can prove how creative and different they are - If you want to show how creative you can be, write a poem/story/song or do some sort of artwork. If you want your children to be creative, expose him/her to various creative outlets (music, stories, gymnastics or dance, art, etc.) - Your child will be just as creative as TweedleDee if you take the time to expose them to creative outlets... And remember, not every child will express their creativity in the same way - it is up to the parent to help the child find their way of being creative!

Different names like Malachi (which ranked 155 in 2007, and frequently lower or not even in the ranking!) are fine. Different names like Thats My Baby are almost equal to child abuse IMHO!
Reply:I agree. Most people, though, are afraid of their kid getting teased. There's also a difference between original and way out there. I have a bunch of names I love that most would not consider normal. Orli, Stavros, Tavi, and Onyx are examples. I'm glad I don't have a common name and others I know who have uncommon names are grateful as well.
Reply:People who TYPICALLY(not always) give their children common names with uncommon spellings have a low education level.

Also, why would you want to give your child a name that he/she is going to have to pronounce for everyone, usually more than once per person? I think it would be just as frustrating to have a name that no one knows what it is as it would be to have the same name as another in my class. There are so many messed up last names; why confuse people with a difficult first?
Reply:I guess some people just don't want their kids to get bullied and picked on because of their names. It is already hard enough to get through life as a child at school without the added complication of an uncommon name. It will be mispelt and mocked which wouldn't happen to a child with a common name. The only reason why people with common names don't get teased is because there are 5 other people in the same area with that name so it is considered "Normal". In a few years time names like Apple and Jesus will just be another one of those normal names.
Reply:They've been tried and tested....and if you find a really common name that you think is absolutely perfect, I think it's better to go with it than to try to be "original" for the sake of being different
Reply:like Wednesday original?

and like Addison common.

sorry to anyone with the name Addison i just feel that it is a bit overused at the moment.
Reply:I am not sure why you feel so strongly that you need to post a question about it.

And besides, we all have a different opinion of what is and what isn't common.

Reply:names have trends, as well as the timeless classics. people are influenced by popular names of the time and may name a child after someone they know.
Reply:Common names are usually the nice ones. So what if 1000 other kids have that name they each have different personalities.
Reply:What do you see as being original or normal or bizarre?
Reply:They don't want their kids to get picked on but what people don't realize is that everyone gets picked on!
Reply:Probably because they don't want their kids to go through life being made fun of.
Reply:yeah I dont get it..Id make up the names of my children or use really unusual ones.
Reply:people will pronounce it better

Reply:because kids get annoyed when people can't say there names right...i should kno
Reply:because i wouldnt want to give my child some trendy name that will eventually sound like sh it on a 50-year-old

Where can I find a list of names of babies that died at birth?

My mom had two babies back in the 1980's that died at birth?

Where can I find a list of names of babies that died at birth?
check with the local clerk of court or ask someone in the family. Depending on whether the babies were full term they may not have been named
Reply:Try the county records office/registrar where she lived at that time.

What weird names for babies have you heard lately?

There was a girl in the paper today who named her two daughters, wait for it, Kswissiana and Adidasheonna!

What weird names for babies have you heard lately?
My aunt is a nurse and when she was helping a with a lady that had given birth to a baby girl, she asked her what she would name the little baby. The woman responded that she saw the most beautiful name on the wall, (sounds like) Absidee. What the woman saw was the first letters of the alphabet ABCDE, the rest were cut off by the door!

True story!
Reply:I am answering all these baby name questions and I saw Fender and Remy.
Reply:I guess that mother liked sneakers
Reply:Shii'take
Reply:Apple and Peach for twin girls.

Ropper, Cowgirl and Lasso in one family.

Shannondoah
Reply:I think Gwyneth Paltrow named her kid Apple
Reply:Spontanious, there was a girl named Spontanious on ANTM. people I have actually met, there is only one, Her name was Surihasa (not sure of the spelling) but it was pronounced (Sure-ee-Hawss-uh). She was an Indian girl who is in fourth grade.
Reply:I take my kids to playgroup and there is a new mum there she has two boys the eldest is four and is named Tristan (which I love this name) but her youngest who is 14 months is named Gaston pronounced Gas-ton (it is a name they made up apparently the Ga is after her father Gareth and the ston is from her hubby's brother who passed away in an accident whose nickname was stoney)

friend of ours had a little girl born October 12 and named her Minty, so cruel considering their last name. Her full name is Minty Jennifer Green.
Reply:Wow. That's insane. My best friend's mom is a nurse and she said one of her patients named he twin boys Orangejello and Yellowjello. Because she didn't know what to name them so she named them after the two food she ate before she had them....
Reply:WHAT?? I can't even pronounce those names!! Ha ha!
Reply:Bless You, need a tissue?
Reply:Thatz so ghetto!!! Actually it's sad.
Reply:the wierdest name i've heard lately had to be the ones u just mentioned girl

Baby Names : How do you feel about these names for twins and or individual babies ?

Twin Girls : London Bailey Simone %26amp; Paris Hailey Michelle

Individual [ Girl only ] : Jaelyn Alyssa Lauryn

Twin Boys : Jordan Micheal %26amp; Jonathan Andre

Baby Names : How do you feel about these names for twins and or individual babies ?
I like the name Jaelyn Alyssa. I don't understand why you would put Lauryn at the end.

Jordan Michael and Jonathan Andre are pretty neutral. No real feeling towards those names.

And if you have twin girls, please, please, please do not name them London and Paris.
Reply:twin girl names I would like separately but not together, seriously, London and Paris

maybe London Bailey Simone and Hailey Paris Michelle or Bailey London Simone and Paris Hailey Michelle, personally I like the second Combination.

Absolutely love the individual girl name because I love the name Jaelyn, it is on my list for the names of my twins coming in May and so is Alyssa.

boy names, love them separately but for twins I wouldnt have them both start with J. maybe switch the middle names like i did for girls
Reply:I really like Londyn and Paris, very cute, but as you can see, I prefer a "y" in London, only because it is unique. I also like only one middle name because it is definately comfusing if there are two. So I like Londyn Bailey and Paris Michelle. I really like those, they are great. Also, for the individual girl, I like all of the names but I prefer just one middle name. So I really like Alyssa Laurin, (spelled with an "i" in Laurin) And Jordan Michael and Jonathon Andre are wonderful just they way they are, I love them :)
Reply:I like them but I like your first two names seperate and not as twin Names. Because they will probably be snickered at when they are said together. Otherwise they're cute. The other names are really cute. I like them all. Very good. :] just remember it's going to be hard to get your husband to agree to names you like. I'm still trying to convince mine of he names I like. I have a feeling that we will never decide on a name until after our baby comes. LOL. Good luck Hun.
Reply:wow, i couldnt have made them better myself, you mind if i use them for my children when im older, no im just kidding, but seriously i like that and how bailey and hailey rhymes, another name i just though to throw in is annmarie, for a middle name but alyssa is good to, good luck with watever you true
Reply:I love the name London, but for a single baby.

The whole Paris and London thing is too match-y and weird.

London Bailey is adorable.

Jaelyn isn't my favorite.

I know a Jordan Michael. He was a douche bag.

But I like Jordon better for a boy spelling.

Johnathan Andre, is too common for me.
Reply:I like your names, but I am a twin(boy and girl), and I am glad that my parents did not give us rhyming names, or names that begin with the same letter. I think that the boy names just sound too much alike, but for individuals all your names work.
Reply:i like them all! great ideas.

however, the girl's twins names remind me of this: paris as in paris hilton and london as in the disney channel show about paris, the main character's name is london tipton, rip off on paris hilton.
Reply:London Bailey is Pretty. %26amp; Paris Hailey is okay.

Jaelyn - BEAUTIFUL!

Alyssa- too common.

Lauryn - LOVE IT. My baby's name.

Jordan Michael - No. Too much like michael jordan..

Jonathon Andre is cute.

I like

Caleb %26amp; Cameryn for twin boys
Reply:paris and london together is just too cheesy

jordan michael is michael jordan backwards and that is cheesy as well

i like jonathan andre. i like london bailey or bailey simone (but not all 3) and i like hailey michelle
Reply:Twin Girls: Pretty, but London and Paris, really?

Individual: I think it's too long, it just doesn't flow well. Jaelyn Alyssa sounds good.

Twin boys: Love them.

xx
Reply:I like Hailey Paris Michelle and Bailey London Simone

I like the individual

I like the boys too
Reply:I Think Jaelyn Alyssa is cute without lauryn

I Also like London Bailey Simone

Simone Bailey

I think these names that i didn't list are pretty long.
Reply:All great names! Love them all! Not too sure about using only first names for the twin girls though...London and Paris seem too..I don't know...country-ish? LOL. But I really do love them all.

:)
Reply:I like names with suddle matches like SydnEY %26amp; AshlEY

Girls: Sarah %26amp; Leah
Reply:Personally they are too long. I also think London and paris will get made fun of.
Reply:I like Haily Paris Michelle better It is probaly my fav. but I'm not to crazy of it well in other words it would not be on the top of my name list.
Reply:Great names!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
