(I'm not being racist) but what are some good baby names for black babies?

I think I understand perfectly what you are saying. A baby of Caucasian descent may be named Amy or Emily or Lynne but a baby of black descent may be named Latisha or chandrelle. You can come up with some interesting names such as amunique or kayanni or things like that. I named my daughter's Jaylynni' Tihanna and Kiri Leilani because of the uniqueness, but it is completely up to you. Good Luck!!!!

Reply:I remember watching one of those news shows where they did an ugly/handsome smart/dumb test for job seekers.





They found that being pretty is more likely to get you the job (no brainer there huh). Also, on a job interview, they (the future employers) thought prettier people were more intelligent. Even the blondes. Go figure lol.





They also found that your name has a lot to do with it too, they did a test where a beautiful black woman submitted two resumes, one with a "black name" and the other with a non-racial-specific name. The resumes were identical, just the names were changed on the paper.





Of the 10 companies she sent resumes too, the 'black name' received no call-backs for interviews, but the non-specific name received 6 call-backs.

Reply:Same as any names for white babies or Mexican babies or Chinese babies. If I were you, I'd stay away from the stereotypical black names (LaShonda, LaToya...pretty much anything beginning with a "La".) For boys, the same rule applies.
