Reply:I think any name that has a special meaning to the parents and why and how they pick the name. Family names are good. Strong unique names are also good. Look into the traditions of the names used in your family.

I think it's important to take into account family names, surname, meaning, culture %26amp; language.





I think having an indivudual name is important, BUT I'm not into misspelling, inventing, or pulling names from other languages just for the sake of being different.





I actually looked up on the US's social security administration website to make sure I was picking a name that was not in the top 100 names. The one we chose was number 223. My name fell #50 the year I was born, my husband's #4... we both had several classmates with the same name throughout school.





at one point, I actually just had that website pulled up and was searching the 200-300 range for names :) I wanted my child to be different, but not wierd.
