I like traditional names, too, but I prefer ones that aren't very common. Here are a few combinations I like for girls and boys. Maybe they'll give you some ideas:

Clara Juliet

Rosalie Blythe

Susanna Joy

Lydia Katherine

Isla Felicity

Evangeline Grace

Moira Elizabeth

Miriam Adele

Genevieve Charlotte

Charlotte Miranda

Gwendolen Eve

Eloise Kate

Helena Jane

Athena Rose

Elizabeth Wren

Miles Benjamin

Adrian Thomas

Julius Arthur

Kenneth Daniel

Jude Christopher

Ewan Andreas

Gideon James

Kenton Avery

Frederick Ashby

Sebastian Lucas

Henry Oliver

Maximilian Jude

A fun place to look for inspiration is the Social Security website -- you can browse the top 1000 names of any given year since 1880. I usually recommend avoiding those in the top 50 or so, since that will greatly decrease your chance of having your child need to go by Sophia B. or Aidan J. in school. A good rule of thumb is that if you decide to pick a common first name, choose an uncommon middle name to go with it. There are a ton of babies being named Sophia Rose and Sophia Marie, but yours might be the only Sophia Wren. If you decide to pick a very uncommon first name, it's best to balance it out with a normal middle name. Persephone Snow is a little out there; Persephone Grace is much prettier.

It also sounds good when the first and middle name have a different number of syllables. Naomi Grace sounds better to most people than Naomi Sophia. It's also nice when first and middle names start and end with different sounds. I like Clara Madeleine, for example, but not Clara Caroline or Clara Lydia.

Best wishes, and I hope this helps! Let us know when you come up with some combinations you like.

Reply:My favorite girl's names are Eda, Iris, Rebecca, and Jo. My favorite boy's names are Bobby, William, Frank, Floyd, and Roman.
Reply:Okay, a good way to start would be to put "traditional baby names" into Yahoo or Google and look through some websites. Keep a sheet of paper nearby and start making a list. Alternatively, buy a name book or 2 (I have 5 and am not even pregnant, lol).

It's always good to get a decent idea on what (traditional) names are out there and then figure out which of those you like and will flow with your last name (different amount of syllables is a plus).

Hope this helps.

Also, on the traditional side I like Gabriel, Noah, Vincent, Roman, Maximilian, Finn and Benjamin for boys. :)
