Just a little curious! I'm only 5 weeks atm so nowhere near that stage yet I don't think, and my boyfriend is still getting used to the idea that we may have a baby by July next year!
How far along were you when you started discussing baby names?
my husband was thinking names the day we found out so about 3 weesks...lol he was just so excited..
Reply:My husband and I started looking at names before we even officially started to try to get pregnant...we already knew we would name the baby after him if it was a boy and I knew the middle name for a girl so we just had to pick a first name....we went through sooo many names and either I hated the name he liked or vice versa or someone in either family hated the name (I know we can't please everyone) We actually choose a name about a week after we found out we were having a girl and every single person I have told it to has Loved it: Lorelei Marie Marmion.
I was very picky about the name and my husband didnt seem to like anything I did, so I am glade we started early...if I were you would start now and not make anything final till you find out if your having a boy or girl....here is a great website with names:
http://www.babycenter.com/baby-names?int...
It is actually a great website all around but I liked the name part of it..
Good luck with your pregnancy and congrats to you and your Boyfriend...
Reply:Start talking about it whenever you want to. I didn't start until I was about 6 or 7 months along with my first, and was still undecided when I went into labor. So with my second son I started early, and still didn't decide until I was about a week or so away from my due date. Picking a name can be hard. Give yourself plenty of time to think about it.
Everyone is different. My sister, who is having a baby girl in Jan. picked out her baby's name months ago. I dont' even think she was showing yet. ha ha.
Reply:i have been thinking of names since i found out i was pregnant at 5 weeks, i havent decided yet cuz i have till april to make up my mind. i think i might wait till i see my baby, because they say sometimes you have a name picked out and it doesnt "fit", so it goes out the window anyway, so i will go to the hospital with my list and decide in the heat of the moment. enjoy and congrats!
Reply:My baby is due in April, but we don't know if it will be a boy or girl yet. But since the day 1, my husband and I have been throwing around boy and girl names that we like. It's fun, and is part of the baby bonding experience for us.
At the moment, we still haven't decided on any names yet, but there are certainly some that we really like.
Reply:My husband couldn't wait. He bought names books around week 6. But I told him that I didn't want to discuss names at all until I was past week 12 when the risk of miscarriage decreases by a lot. I couldn't bear the thought of naming something that might not stick around.
But that was me. So we started talking about them a ton around 12 weeks, because he was so excited about it.
Reply:whenever u feel the time is right. me and my fiancee started talking bout it when i was 2 months prego. We have tossed names up in the air since we started to get serious in our relationship but now i am 28 weeks prego and we have got it down to 3 names. so ya it takes a while. I mean with my first kid it was easy cuz the babies daddy wasn't around so i got to pick the name out myself lol.... 2 people its hard to agree on a name
Reply:One day me and bf were just playing around with if ever we had kids, what would their names be? we came up with caden andrew and chloe michelle. I picked the girls first name and the boys middle name and he picked the girls middle name and the boys first name. A year and and an engagement ring later, the test said pregnant and we are stll going for the same names. =]
Reply: I had my daughters name picked out before I got pregnant but I would wait till about 7 months just so you know everything is ok. Besides alot of parents pick a name and then when the baby is born they change it. My second child was haley unitl she was born and then last min we changed it to anabel !
Reply:Earlyish, but we didn't settle on anything until our 22 week scan when we knew we were having a girl.
Up until then it had been Oliver for a boy and Lucy for a girl, but we decided on Heidi Olivia and it really suits her.
So get some books or google 'baby names' and have some fun!
Kez xxx
Reply:I think my wife and I were discussing names since the moment we found out we were having a child. Of course actually choosing one didn't happen until after the baby was born. There's something about seeing the newborn and making sure that the name fits.
Reply:We've discussed names since before I got pregnant. When one of us runs into new names we like or when somebody else asks if we've discussed names then we go over them again, but we don't even know the sex of the baby yet so we're really just throwing around names we like. No where near serious discussion yet.
Reply:i didnt have my daughters name until she was born. i went through alot of names when i first found out that i was preggers but afterwards i just said when she comes we just see how she responds and she had a smerk on her face when i called her name. GOOD LUCK
Reply:my husband and i already had names for a girl and a boy before we even started trying to get pregnant! LOL! then we found out we were having twin girls so we had to come up with a second girl name. we talked about it through the whole pregnancy.
Reply:we started thinking about names right away lol as soon as i found out especially since we were trying for about 2 years! we picked some boy names and girl names and as soon as we found out what we were having we already knew what we were going to name him :)
Reply:I picked a name in the beginning.. I say at about 7-9 weeks pregnant. I said, "I know it's a boy and his name is going to be Aiden" and I was right.
Reply:We had names picked out before we ever got pregnant. Actually, before we ever even decided to "try" for baby. But the girls name did change around 15 weeks. And it's the one that stuck!!!!
Reply:My husband and I talked about baby names even before I was pregnant....lol! Talk about names when you guys feel the time is right. There is no right or wrong time. Congrats on your little peanut
Reply:i started thinking about names the day i found out i was pregnant. It's never too early to start thinking about it.
Reply:It's never to early to discuss names!! Your gonna change your mind a million times in the next 9 months so it never hurts to get a head start. Unless your really supersicious or something :P
