What do you think of these baby names and can you help me with a middle name?

For girls, I have Belladonna Rayne, Ivy Rayne, and Ivy Elora.

For a boy, the names Vaughn, Drake, and Rozio keep coming to mind, but I can't figure out middle names for them.

Please do not make fun of these names. My intent is to name my child a unique name because I grow weary of these common names. Oh, how many Hannahs and Sophias can I count in one preschool!

Thanks for everyone's input!

What do you think of these baby names and can you help me with a middle name?
A lot of my answer would have to do with how it flows with your last name.

Belladonna is a really nice name - it would allow your daughter to go by many different variations - i.e. Bella, Bell, Donna.

The boy name that most interest me (of the ones you listed) is Rozio - it's unusual but not too extreme and freakish.

Again - a middle name - would depend on the last name.

I did a quick search on "unusual boy names" and found a couple that I found interesting:

Devante

Emil

Imre

Naim

Orion (I'm a sucker for constellations!)

Vareck

Xan

Yeats
Reply:I ove Ivy Elora,it sounds so pretty...no need for a middle name.
Reply:Bella Rayne or Belle Rayne is the only change I'd make to your girl name ideas, as Belladonna is a mouthful! Your other girl names are great!

I like your boy names too! How about:

Vaughan Drake

Rozio Kaine

Good luck!
Reply:oooohhh! Drake is my favorite!!

Drake Vaughn (sounds like a soap star :)

I really like Ivy Rayne.

congrats
Reply:vaughn aaron? Drake patrick? Rozio alex?
Reply:I absolutely love Ivy Rayne (not sure if you are pronouncing Rayne as -rain or ranae- but i love the sound if it is as in ~rain~.
Reply:Hummm... I do like these names.... Iike the unique! Ivy Rayne is my fav then Belladonna.... I think that Rose might be a nice name to go with Belladonna .... Belladonna Rose! Maybe Devlin Vaughn or mix it up with Drake Vaughn that sounds nice. Good luck! I do love your choices!
Reply:I love Ivy Rayne, so pretty!@#

Why do people suggest baby names like this?

Why do people suggest that you don't name your child something, uncommon? They suggest that you name them something plain, overused, traditional, popular and overrated like Emily or Jacob? I'd rather have a child whose the only one in their class with the name Alexa than be one of five or six Kaitlyn's.

Why do people suggest baby names like this?
Something like Alexa is ok. What most people are talking about is exotic names. They may sound good on paper or poetic to the ear, but they fail to think about the kid having to live with that name and all the jokes and name calling that will happen at school.
Reply:They mean uncommon like a made-up name or something with crazy spelling, funny sounding or impossible to pronounce.

It's your opinion really. They just don't want the kid to be made fun of.

If you're talking about Alexa, that's fine. I have a longer name that was (and is) pretty uncommon, but it's not weird, just not used a lot. I felt a little out of place with all the Britneys and stuff as my name just sounds older, but I grew to love it and hate when people shorten it.

I would give a cute middle name too, in case the kid wants to use that.
Reply:Speaking as a Barbara who lost her first name in first grade, unique names are awfully overrated. Your teachers don't pronounce them correctly, they don't spell them correctly, and most of all, they tend to have mental prejudices against the uncommon.

In my class there was a Barbara, a Barb, a Barbie, a BJ, a Bobbi, and a Bobbie Jo..;..and that was just the girls. In the boys names we had a Robert, a Bob, a Bobby, and a Bobby Joe.

I was much happier having a name that was pronouncable, rather than unique. Unique doesn't always mean good.
Reply:I like less common names myself...

a lot of ppl want to avoid unusual names for fear that their child will be picked on, but I think ppl worry too much about this. I have an unusual name and my siblings have names more unusual than mine... and none of us have ever been teased for our names. Unless a name is goofy or something, most kids don't go around picking on ppl's names! A name that's uncommon or unique, or even foreign won't get a kid picked on, in my experience.
Reply:Alexa is pretty common, I thought?? My girls names are Shilah (pr. Shyla) and Mataia (pr. Mataya). My sons name is Ian James. They have yet to meet another kid with the same name. Their names are unique, but not too wierd. I like unique names, but unique spellings of common names are ridiculous. Who wants to spend their life always correcting someone who misspells it? (like Knicole for Nicole, pointless and annoying!!!)

Search foreign names and you can find interesting names. Mataia is a French name, originally spelled Mateja. A name may be common in a foriegn country, but you never hear it here. I believe a childs name is a big influence to who they are and who they will become. Think of that when you are searching. Good luck!!!
Reply:I have a very short name that is easy to pronounce. I was always the only girl in school with that name. However, it was always a bit irritating to never be able to find special things with my name on them (like pens and paper) Another problem with my name is that it is difficult for people in other countries to pronounce. I have lived on 3 continents, and am planning to move again soon. I will be going by Juana. Just easier for the Spanish to say it!
Reply:It is a personal choice, but I would think long and hard about naming a child an unusual name that will get them picked on when they go to school. They are the ones who suffer for that, not us.
Reply:It is all personal choice, if you ask for someones opinion on a website like this, well hunny you are going to get it. If you want to name your child something different then that is up to you, not everyone will like it.
Reply:i agree. i know my daughter will be the only kambria in her class. :) she's only 1 right now. but of course i get mixed reactions about her name. you can tell some people don't like it because it's unique.
Reply:Alexa is a beautiful name, much nicer than the name Kaitlyn. I agree with you about the over used names.
Reply:I agree! I don't really like common names!
Reply:its a matter of what you like.

if i really like a common name i would name my child that but id put another name with it.

ex. Belle is a very common name so id name her Jordin-Belle.
Reply:hell all the colored folks i have been around name their kids like 400 names all put together, what is the theory behind that
Reply:I hear ya! There can only be so many Brittney's in the world before it explodeds! LOL!

(No offense to anyone named Brittney!)
Reply:names are super common because lots of people like them....that would be why lots of people suggest them
Reply:Amen! I agree as long as the name isnt so weird the child is made fun of
Reply:I know what you mean. People can sometimes be to harsh when they don't like a name... I like unusual names myself but will not cut someone elses name down if it is common just because I don't like it.
Reply:I completely agree with you! i really dont like boring names. btw i love that name alexa.
Reply:Alexa is a common name ... and no one suggests common names just names that won't have your child running home in tears.
Reply:well i don't know but i really like the name Shauna lee
Reply:I agree I would like to be the only one with that name of Alexa or any other name.
Reply:its just personal choice
Reply:they're just weird

Bettina (Betsie) Lucy

So, these are the names I've picked out (gosh it's hard!!) Obviously I'm not really into popular names but I'd like to know what you think of them. You can mix them up or add suggestions. Thanks!

What do you think of these unusual baby names?
Vivienne is lovely as is Betsy , Claudette is nice.
Reply:I agree with Vivienne Harlow. Veronica Marris is a little too similar to Veronica Mars, I think.

Harlow is definitely the best of the middle names, in my opinion. Ella Harlow, perhaps?

Lucy and Marris are great, but I don't really like the middle names.

Bettina Lucy is nice

Belladonna Marris?

I really think you should use Belladonna. I would spell it with just one 'n' though.
Reply:Ella Blue or Anastaisa. You don't want to go too out there probably. I know you want to be unusual, but the truth is, kids are cruel. They'll probably tease her with a name like Gertiude and people will mispronounce it all the time. Ella is simple and beautiful :)
Reply:I like Anastaisa but not the middle name. Vivienne is also pretty but again dont care for the middle name choice.
Reply:Ella Blue-- It's cute.

Belladonna Harlow-- Not bad. I like Harlow.

Anastaisa Gertiude-- Not a fan.

Vivienne Claude-- They flow together but they don't sound right together.

Veronica Marris-- Not bad.

Reply:Anastaisa Blue

Harlow Vivienne
Reply:I'm going to go with Ella and Marris as my fave. I like Blue too as a middle name though. Actually, they're all nice unique choices. Harlow is definately cute, but I like it as a first name. Check out this site www.ohboyorgirl.com/Baby_Names, there's plenty of unique names there and you can download a really cool baby name ebook to your cell phone for free.
Reply:A lot of the names are older names and Betsie would be the worst I would be afraid the baby would get made fun of. I love the name Harlow. I would go with Ella Harlow.

Reply:Honestly, a lot of them sound like cartoon character names. And the poor child will have her name spelled wrong and pronounced wrong her entire life.

Which of these baby names sounds best for my son?

My son is due on January 1, and we have narrowed it down to 5 names. Which one sounds best? Here are the choices: Blaise Arelan Fluharty, Bodhi (Boe-Dee) Blaise Fluharty, Torin Thunder Fluharty, Sage St. Laurent (San Lor-ann) Fluharty, and Zane Bourdain Fluharty. By the way, my last name is pronounced FLU-HAR-TEE.

Which of these baby names sounds best for my son?
Bodhi (Boe-Dee) Blaise Fluharty is the best out of 5. Kind of a royal name and feels good with First and Middle name starting with the letter B.

Bodhi Blaise. Congrats!
Reply:I love the name Blaise Arelan Fluharty! It's gorgeous! The others are a tad on the abnormal side, but the first name is just GORGEOUS!

Congratulations

Earthy
Reply:I like Zane Bourdain the best

2nd would be Zane Arelan!

Sage Arelan is nice too. Doable!

Not a fan of Blaise, Bodhi, or Torin. Thunder?
Reply:Blaise Arelan

other combo's that I like are:

Torin Blaze

Zane Bodhi

Torin Sage

(sage sounds like a girls first name to me, so be careful about that one)
Reply:I like Sage St. Laurent and Zane Bourdain. They are all really cool and unusual, no one will have the same name as him, he's lucky.

Hope I helped and Congratulations!
Reply:I adore the name Blaise, so my vote goes to Blaise Arelan Fluharty. Are you French (or part French) by any chance, or do you just like French names? Anyway, congrats!
Reply:Bodhi or Zane.

But how about Anthony, instead of Bourdain? ;)

(also because Zane Bourdain rhymes)
Reply:Zane Bourdain Fluharty

Reply:torin thunder fluharty.

i like it its very unique

"The girl's name Candace \c(a)-nda-ce, can-dace\ is pronounced KAN-diss. It is of Ethiopian origin. Also possibly (Latin) "clarity; whiteness". An ancient hereditary title used by the Ethiopian queens before the fourth century, as Caesar was used by the Roman emperors. One of the queens is mentioned in the Bible."

What is your opinion on these baby names?

Our last name is Kraklio... It sounds just like it's spelled. For a girl, Elizabeth Mae, Liberty, Violet, Audrey or Charlotte. For a boy, William, Michael, Nicholas, James, or Matthew. What is your preference and why?

What is your opinion on these baby names?
Elizabeth Mae- Classy, elegant, timeless. I love it and it happens to be my middle name. ;] Lots of nickname options.

Liberty- Unique, cute, love the nickname Libby.

Violet- I love it, but becoming more popular.

Audrey- Timeless beauty!

Charlotte- Growing on me. Classy, elegant.

William- Classic!

Michael- Outdated and overused.

Nicholas- Classic, but too overused.

James- Classic! Can;t go wrong.

Matthew- Classic! Love Biblical names.
Reply:Liberty Charlotte or Elizabeth Mae for a girl. I've always loved Liberty and Charlotte, and Elizabeth Mae is a very pretty, classic name.

For a boy, I think you should pair Nicholas and James: Nicholas James just sounds like a good, strong, name for a boy that'll work for childhood and adulthood.

Hope I've helped you!
Reply:For the girl I love Elizabeth with the middle name Ashlee or Audrey. These names sound very feminine. For the boy I like James because it very traditional, and I like Matthew because it's the name of one of my best friends.
Reply:Liberty Mae Kraklio

James Matthew Kraklio
Reply:Audrey Mae Kraklio

Michael James Kraklio
Reply:I like Violet Mae a lot. i love the name James, but i don't think any of your other namesflow very well as it's middle name. Happy Naming!

Be kind to your children, the name you give them, they are going to have to live with for the rest of their life.

How long after you found out you were pregnant did you start looking for baby names?

just curious how long after finding out you were pregnant and how far along were you when yoiu started buying baby books, looking online for baby names or start listing names for boys and girls beofre you found out or did you not start lookin guntil you knew what you were having?

How long after you found out you were pregnant did you start looking for baby names?
we pretty much had baby girl names straight away but when i got preg we found out we were having a boy we couldnt decide on a boy name my sister saw a name Brayden in a mag we were thinking that would be ok when my son was born we still werent sure but my midwife rushed us so he ended getting called brayden we named him 3weeks after he was born and still ages after that i still wasnt keen for that name hes 18mnths now lol
Reply:I bought books and thought about baby names long before I was pregnant but I was on IVF and this was my way of getting through the disappointment. Mind you I had a name picked and called the baby by the name 'Noah' the whole way through the pregnancy but when he was born he just wasn't a Noah and suddenly became Jett. Out of fear I didn't buy anything which I considered to be final like baby seats and cots etc until I was 12 weeks.
Reply:With our first we picked a boy's name and a girl's name around 3 months pregnant. I had a girl that time.

With our second we already had a boys name for the first pregnancy. Came up with another girls name at 5 months when we were told girl. Then found out 1 month 4 days before delivery, that she was a HE! lol. So we went with the original boy's name we had picked.

This time we looked over everything we could find online for names, and picked at 5 months. We're still debating middle name though. We have first and middle.....just aren't 100% on the middle yet.
Reply:That weekend lol! I had taken a class and a featured lecture was about 'what's in a name?' and showed me all the importance of a good name for call backs on a resume and the way people approach you when introduced. I want to give my baby the gift of a solid name. :)
Reply:My husband and I have always talked about what names we like, cause we like different names. So we really started to talk about them even before we were pregnant. Once I became pregnant I do a lot of research on line I have watched videos and read some books.
Reply:as soon as i was past the safe zone and more when i found out what it was because i didn't want to get exited right away just in case then that way if some thing happened i could still use that name
Reply:2 yrs before we got pregnant!! Hahaha!

We have made a serious effort at names already, and have a short short list and i am 16 weeks pregnant.

Hard when we don't know what we're having! Lol.
Reply:Any moment is good to start looking at them, you should pick a name that realy likes you and maybe, that sounds good with your last name.

You may also wanna try names from different countries

Take care

Reply:the day we found out I was looking for baby names. I'm 11 week and I already have names picked.
Reply:With my first I started looking within a month after wards. I picked two names and ended up using the female name for number two.
Reply:We actually picked our names out 3 years before we got pregnant. We picked one girl and on boy name and we got lucky and got one of each with one try!
Reply:wow im due 6-20-09 cool with number five but i aint looking for names yet but i have chadwick, chelsea, cheyene, james so im not sure
Reply:I started thinking of names asap. We were so excited.

I didn't buy the baby book though until we knew what she was.

Congrats and Good Luck
Reply:We had my daughers name picked out soon after I found out I was prego. We are naming out son after his daddy and if we have another girl her name will be annette May.
Reply:I had a boy and a girl name picked out by 3 months.
Reply:My sister started looking for baby names as soon as she found out if it was a boy ot a girl.
Reply:I don't plan on having baby for at least 5 years and I already have my kids' names picked out! :)

What are good modern intelligent names for girls and what is your favourite baby name website?

http://www.nameberry.com is a great website. They have discussions boards, a blog, endless hot lists of different kind of names, celebrity baby names, and a huge database to explore! this is truly my favorite baby name website, its full of a relatively small group of wonderful people with excellent taste. The website is run by Linda Rosenkratz and Pamela Satran the authors of such books as the baby name bible, beyond jennifer and jason, and cool names.

http://youcantcallitit.com/ this is a blog I often go to. It has great names and interesting articles. One of my favorite sections is when the woman posts names of kids who come into the store she works at.

http://anamebyanyotherrose.squarespace.c... this is another blog that i love. She doesn't update as much as the last one, but when she does her posts are phenomenal. She lives in australia so its really fun to hear names that you don't often hear here in the states.

http://www.nymbler.com/ this is an awesome idea for a site. You put in all the names you love and it comes up with other ideas for you. Interesting suggestions, give it a shot.

Is it just me or are baby names getting weirder and weirder?

Everyones trying to come up with something interesting or unique, but some of these names are just crazy!

Is it just me or are baby names getting weirder and weirder?
names are getting weirder and weirder!

people are either making up names, or taking simple names and using ridiculous spellings that butcher the name completely.
Reply:i think you're right. McKenna for a girl's first name? Seriously? Especially since the "mc" prefix literally means "son of."

i think that the recent trend of couples choosing 'old-fashioned' names (i.e. Emma, Olivia) is a retaliation of against the made-up names while still an attempt to give their child a unique name. But once their child hits preschool their going to learn how common their choice has become.
Reply:Yes I agree

I most people give normal names

Some of the names are awful

Some of the surnames like Campbell is awful for a first name

Bronx, Tripp, Sailor are all awful names for children

I think people trying to be different, they are being mean to their child
Reply:yes i agree...when my daughter was in the NICU there was a couple next to us who decided to name there daughter Alexis...which i think is cute until i heard what there oldest daughter's name was, Mercedes! and they told the nurse that if they have another girl they were going to name her Porsche!! those poor children
Reply:Names are getting weirder, but its better than knowing 5 people with the same name. I think names should be different enough to be unique, but not crazy enough that the poor child needs therapy.
Reply:It's not just you, they are. I've heard of some names that sound like they come from some crazy language and other names that are the same as objects! It's getting crazy.
Reply:i dont mind, i think we need wierder names, normal names are okay, but i think this society needs more of a variety to add more to our culture
Reply:I agree.

Another thing I'm seeing is people turning simple names complicated.
Reply:I kknow...i think people are just tryin to be cool its sad. Whats wrong with pretty timeless names like William?? I think these days William is more unique than all the stupidddd Jaydens
Reply:I agree. People are a little obsess with "special names".
Reply:I could not agree more....it's really annoying when some one takes a perfectly fine name and then tries too hard to make it different...they end up screwing it up!
Reply:I totally agree.
Reply:yeh that true

pretty soon the older names will be the unique ones
Reply:i couldn't agree more. I mean Nevaeh? Really Ameria?
Reply:yeah i agree

things like Nevaeh prove my point.
Reply:agreed. but i like the craziness
Reply:Yeah it's stupid..for instance, grayson is not a girls name! What the heck?

How long after you found out you were pregnant did you start looking for baby names?
i guess when i found out i was pregnant i paying attention to peoples names and taking into consideration if i would actually name my child that or not and i decided after i had the baby!!!
Reply:my first pregnancy i started looking at names right away, i was told i would have a girl, but he was a boy. The nurses brought me some baby name books and i had to pick one overnight. My second was a boy and already knew what to name him when i found out i was having a boy, but did keep some girl names in mind just in case.
Reply:I want to tell a strange story about naming my baby. I was thinking for a name for few days but could not find what i was searching. One day at night when i was sleeping i dreamt that i am calling my baby with the name priangka (it鈥檚 an Indian name), so i kept that name.

If you are thinking and thinking then somehow you will get the perfect name....

Reply:i looked into baby names before i was pregnant %26amp; then when i found out, my hubby %26amp; i chose 1 girl name %26amp; 1 boy name %26amp; then once we found out the gender at 20 weeks along, that was it. we chose trinity %26amp; levi. so, now we have our 19 month old Levi.
Reply:I bought 'what to expect when you are expecting' right away and I suggest you do to. As for the baby name I pretty much had my names picked out before I found out the sex.
Reply:I'm due with #2 on 6-18-09 and I'm already starting to think about it. I've had names in the back of my mind since I had my son in 2006. I think it's always fun to look.
Reply:I'm not even pregnant (I'm only 16!), but I love names and I'm thinking of some for my future kids... hahaha.
Reply:I miscarried my first pregnancy, so this time around we waited until we knew the sex of the babies (twins).
Reply:We looked as soon as we found out but made no permanent decisions until we found out what we were having. Hunter is our 1st and Cameron is on the way!!!
Reply:As soon as I saw those 2 little lines!! I was really excited so we started throwing around names right away.
Reply:I wanted to see what baby looked like before naming them

What do you think of these baby names?

I am Pregnant with my first child and its a girl she will due in the next 2 months and i was thinking of some baby girl names!

I personnally like Nellie, Natalie and Lilyana but still not sure which to pick!

What do you think your response would be really helpful!

What do you think of these baby names?
I like Lilyana, that is super cute!

Don't like Nellie

Do like Natalie, but Natalya is cuter

Congratulations on your new baby, I hope all goes smoothly in the delivery room. God Bless :O)
Reply:Natalie would be my favorite out of those...I think it is very pretty....Congrats by the way!
Reply:I love the name Natalie.
Reply:I love Lilyana, i usually spell it Liliana, though.

Liliana Garnet
Reply:i like natalie best! it means birth of Christ.
Reply:definetly not Lilyana, but nellie and natalie are good cause they have really good nick names like nel or nat or something
Reply:cool wonderful i love them
Reply:Nellie- heck no..

Natalie- cutsy and mature

Lilyana- At first I didn't like it, but the more I see it, it makes me think of a really sweet person. GOOD LUCK %26amp; GOD BLESS!
Reply:nellie reminds me of the mean girl on little house on the prairie, but i love natalie and lilyana. good luck!
Reply:Lylyana or Natalya
Reply:Lilyana is great what about a middle name...nicole..I like the name Anais and Nicolette
Reply:I like Natalie. It is so cute.

Best of luck and congrats to you!!
Reply:Lilyana that is so unique.
Reply:You should choose Natalie. That's a very cute name.
Reply:I like all of your choices. I guess I would have to pick Lilyana because you can use many nicknames. I am fourteen now and with my name (Erika) I can't use nicknames at all. She could go by Lilyana, Ana, Lil, Lily or Ann.
Reply:Lilyana is one of my favorite names. : )

Natalie is very nice too... as long as it doesn't inadvertently get shortened to Nat.

Nellie still makes me think of stuck up Nellie Olson on Little House on the Prairie.
Reply:wow personally i like nellie. thats so cute for alittle girl!
Reply:I would go with Natalie. Nellie sounds like more of a nickname for an Eleanor than an actual name, but it's still good. I like Lilyana as well, but I personally like it spelled Liliana.
Reply:Natalie is cute
Reply:Hello I would say Natalie it is a more normal name not saying the others weren't. I love that name it is cute to me but that is my opinion.
Reply:Nellie is ok, but I prefer it as a nickname for something more substantial, like Eleanore (which it originated from). It can also be a nickname for Helena or Elena or Leanora, which I think are beautiful. Nellie would be a sweet nickname.

Natalie is alright, not my favorite and a bit popular.

Lilyana is nice (spelled this way) and of course will get the adorable nickname of Lily. But I know 2 baby girls named Lily so I fear it'll be crazy popular soon!

I really like Leanora, nn Nellie. Good luck!!!
Reply:Natalie is my favorite...this is what i want by baby's name to be....that when i have one...lol
Reply:Nellie is a horse's name and your daughter would be teased accordingly. Lilynana is a weird one and would probably torture your daughter, although I would probably make it the middle name. Natalie is pretty, but slightly over used. I know several Natalie's all under the age of 7. I would try to come up with some more names.
Reply:Lilyana is gorgeous
Reply:go with the first two..complicated made up names tourture kids later
Reply:I think Natalie is a cute name you could even use Natalie Lilyanna or Lilyanna Natalie. I am partial to Lilyanna because my little niece is Liyanna. I am pregnant but way to early to even think of a name.
Reply:Natalie. It's a beautiful name!
Reply:Lilyana
Reply:Natalie :)
Reply:Of those I would go with Natalie
Reply:try dillhole sanders or **** mcgee.

Looking for input on baby names and middle names for them?

My husband is from Norway, I am from the US, and we want to find a name that will be acceptable in both countries without sounding too weird! I have a daughter already whose name is Alaina, so something that isn't too common or too out there.

We have thought Anya for a girl and Erik for a boy.

Any comments on those, and also any suggestions for good middle names that are used in both countries?

Thanks!

Looking for input on baby names and middle names for them?
Erik is a wonderful name. My oldest son's name is Erik

Erik Bjorn

Erik Soren

Erik Daniel

Anya is a pretty name but might be confuesed with the sister's name.

How about

Elsa Amilea

Anna Katherine

Britta Lind

Sonja Maria

Amilia Anna

Lena Christina - Lena ......sounds like this. Lee Nah

I am American.......my grandparents came from Sweden and Norway.
Reply:I like both of them! As for middle names, you might want to take a look at names in family trees online. Try RootsWeb.com; search on "erik" and "anya" to see what middle names come up in family trees that are Norse/Norwegian - they might give you some good ideas.
Reply:those are good names you can try brittney marie or robert william for first and middle
Reply:i love anya and erik

both great names.

i personally prefer erik with a "C" eric.

and anya is beautiful

um

anya marie sounds good (norwegian)\

anya claire (US)

erik alexander(norwegian)

Reply:Anya and Erik are awesome names but some other cool names are:

Mariah Lee

Kalee Leanna

Riley James

Jonathin Stanley

Caleb Steven

Zakari Alan

Hope I could help. You can also try a few different websites to find out some cool Norwegian names and some cool U.S. names . You could even name him after some famous person from Norway or the U.S. and if all else fails.....if it's a boy , name him after your husband, and if it's a girl name her after some special women in either one of your families who is very close to you.
Reply:those are both nice names
Reply:Anya and Erik are fine......i dont know anything that would be good for both countries, i know nothing about Norway, sorry.
Reply:Anya is a good name, and its different too...
Reply:There is a website below that has a few hundred names from Norwegian origin. As an American, you could browse through the names and see what would be considered a 'typical' American name and not too out there.

I personally love Julia or Heidi for a girl's name and Daniel or Jacob for a boys name.
Reply:Anya is a nice name and is definitely unique. Erik is pretty common in the US though (Eric/Erick/etc.).
Reply:I'm sorry, but I don't know any Norweigan (Norwiegan?) names- Alaina is very pretty though, and I think Anya is too.
Reply:Taleah Kate

Adisynn Michelle

Kiana Grace

Isabel Hope

Hope Emilie

I don't think those are Norwegian, but they are unique!
Reply:Niklas James (pronounced Nicholas I think) and Anya Bethany.
Reply:i dont know anything about these countires.

hope this helps x

Is anyone in the Baby Names section really having a baby?

Or do 99% of the people here just like thinking about names? Not that I care - nothing wrong with that - I'm just wondering if anyone is really pregnant?

Is anyone in the Baby Names section really having a baby?
Not me. I just like names. =) I know very weird of me. :D
Reply:I'm not pregnant, but my sister is with triplet girls. She always asks me to come on here and ask questions about their names. She loves these 3 names for them:

Emily Brielle

Sarah McKinley

Taylor Beth

I hate when people lie about having children. That's why I always check their profile to see if they asked any other questions about having a boy and on another one they said that they are having a girl.

My sister is 51/2 months pregnant. She is due June 4th. She is 19 and her name is Gabrielle McKinley Beth. She used all of her middle names for their middle names.

Hope this helps u!!
Reply:I'm not no. But i like reading what names people like, want to name their children and then spitting in an opinion. As far I can see I can't be wrong because they are opinions. That is why I come here. But I usually don't ask any questions... because I can't be bothered, 2) I really don't care for anyone else's opinion.
Reply:Well I wasn't on the nest when I first came in I just like playing the naming games to be honest but now that I am preggers I might take suggestions, I don't know what it is though So right now it's my butter bean.
Reply:I'm not pregnant, but have a 4 month old and we want to have another baby in the near-ish future, so it's on my mind. I like names, always have. Perhaps because my own was such a bane on my existence in school, LOL. I try my best to persuade parents on here away from giving their kids super weird names.
Reply:i too don't know the sex of my baby i just like coming on for suggestions as i change my mind all the time lol (im only 14 weeks)
Reply:I am ! I'm in 13 1/2 weeks ... due May 21st

My husband's in Chad in deployment atm. He's gone 2 months, and left name decisions up to me ! Don't know the gender, and like to throw about a few names the odd time lol
Reply:I first came here when I was pregnant. I know how helpful everyone was with mine, so now I want to help others.
Reply:Well I don't know my baby's sex yet,but I still come in here sometimes to get ideas.
Reply:my auntie is with triplets..

due 25th Febuary 2009 :)
Reply:My triplets are due on June 5th =]

I like these names for my adoptive babies?

Yes, Un-named babies. The first one is best in my opinion and so on.

Darrel

Dannila

Ashley

Aaron

Bella

Baron

Tessalynn

Tommy

Cerra (as pronounced Sara)

Corey

Janna

John

Do you like 1,2,3,4,5 or 6?

I like these names for my adoptive babies?
Ok, I am a little confused. You said "babies" - are they twins with one being male and the other being female. That is my best guess from the names you have selected.

If that is the case Bella is one of my favorite names - I am not so sure about Baron but I don't hate it either. Byron, perhaps?

Tessalyn is really neat, I have never heard it before and goes well iwth Tommy.

Ashley and Aaron are very common but if that does not bother you they are great names too.

The Darrel and Danilla option I would really think about how cruel kids can be to each other and I keep hearing vanilla taunts in my head.

So my vote in order of my liking is 3,4 %26amp;2.

Best of luck to all of you!
Reply:I like the third combination. Bella and Baron. I think number four is also great. Tessalynn and Tommy. They are all great. Go with your heart. They are all great but those are my favorite. Bella is my favorite because I think it is really cute. It sounds unique in a Audrey Hepurn sort of way. Sorry if I spelled the name wrong. Anyways I also liek Baron because it soudns cool and tough. Tommy and Tessalynn are also great. They sound very playful and full of fun! Good luck and congratulations!
Reply:Of those I like Ashley and Aaron the best
Reply:love #5 but any name you like is the right one!! good luck
Reply:Do they have to be a matched set? I like some of the names but none of the "sets"

Janna - I dont care for but John is OK

Corey is alright but Cerra is going to spend her whole life explaining her name is Sara - at least until she is old enough to legally change it to sara.

Tessa would be OK but Tessalyn is to long and you shouldnt name a child "tommy" once he is past 10 that will just be silly

Bella is OK, Baron is yucky

Ashley is too stripper but Aaron is nice

I dont care for either of the d names
Reply:none

sorry!
Reply:4, they sound awsome!!! Both cute.
Reply:I like Darrel, Tommy, and Janna.

If I had to choose a pair I'd say Darrel and Dannila, but I'd probably call her Danni for short.
Reply:I don't like the same letter sound name for twins or siblings.... Though I do like Cerra and Corey (probably because they don't sound matched.)

Another idea other than the same letter sound is to name them something that both means the same.

Like Alexis and Zander both mean defender of men.
Reply:I like 2
Reply:I like # 2 but would spell "Ashley" to Ashleigh to be different. I also like # 3 girl. # 6. # 4 but I like just Tessa or Tessa Lynn. I like 5's girl because it's different. Hope I helped. Good Luck!!
Reply:My choice: Bella and Baron
Reply:i like 4.....the girls names unique and pretty, boys names common but a good name
Reply:I like number 2 it's kind of a really girly name!
Reply:Janna

John
Reply:i like ashley and aaron

also i love the name bella but not baron

what about like brandon or something instead
Reply:I like Ashley and Aaron. Bella is nice but Baron not so much and the others I don't know how to say, lol. Sorry.
Reply:...

I like the Cerra and Corey pair... I've never seen Sara spelled that way.

How about Sara and Stuart?

I also like Tessalynn, but not Tommy. Thomas is better.
Reply:I LIKE SET 1 AND SET 6
Reply:I like them in this order. 5,6,1,4,2,3
Reply:I like Darrel and Dannila
Reply:the first two is good to go
Reply:I like Tessalynn.. go by Tessa for short.

I don't like any of the boys names.

First and middle names for babies?

I'm only giving a couple choices because I'm kinda picky. I tend to prefer names that were popular in the past... I just need you to put together a combination for each gender (eg. Emily Charlotte).

Girls' first names: Emily -or- Charlie

Girls' middle names: Charlotte -or- Louise

Boys' first names: Edward -or- Francis

Boys' middle names: Christopher -or- William

Thanks so much!

First and middle names for babies?
How about Charlotte Louise?

Or if you don't like that, I would say Emily Louise.

You may not like these, but I like:

Emmeline (emma-lean)

Caroline

Jane

Rosalie

Esme

Eloise

Yeah, and you can pair them up however.
Reply:For the girl definitely Charlie Louise. Emily is a beautiful name but it has been the number 1 most used name for years now and it sooo common.

For boys I like Edward William. Frances is a bit to feminine in my opinion.
Reply:I like Emily Louise

Francis William
Reply:I like Charlotte as a first name how about Charlotte Emile?

Is there a website that I can go to for baby names and what the names mean?

More specifecly I was looking for Mexican or Aztec baby names and what they mean. I can't find any of any kind though. Anyone know a good website for this?

Is there a website that I can go to for baby names and what the names mean?
babynames.com allows you to search by meaning, origin, and even length. It's a really great resource. I'm an author and use it all the time for character names because it's so exhaustive.
Reply:www.babynamesworld.com

It's free and everything.

They are split by boy/ girl and alphebetized but dont' really show the meanings..

has the meanings for example Citlalli being the girls name meaning Star
Reply:HERE IS ONE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR TO USE

http://www.yeahbaby.com/
Reply:ok AuBree is the best name ever and it means noble ruler or destiny which means fate
Reply:www.babynames.com is quite useful and you can keep a list of baby names you like which is handy as you can then choose out of them all and pick for middle names if thats what you want!!
